Meaning “spotted coffee,” the interplay between milk, espresso and foam gives this coffee its unique name. Preferably, served in a glass.
Recipe:
- Foam up 9 ounces of milk with your milk frother.
- Fill the foamed milk into your Latte Macchiato glass.
- Pour 1.2 ounces of espresso carefully and slowly into your glass. The typical division occurs immediately: first milk, then espresso and finally the foam on top.
